The Last Post

So, I've decided to retire this blog. It will still be here, but I'll no longer be posting here. Thanks to the multi-talented Rachel Rivera, my new website is complete, so I'll rambling there from now on ;)  And of course at Diverse Pages

Thanks for joining me here at Noel's Ramblin's over the past few years. It's been fun! This was my first experience blogging and I wasn't at all disappointed. But since my heart belongs to Diverse Pages and I only visit here randomly, I'm inviting you to check in with me on occasion at Kelbiannoel.com. For updates check out the Latest News tab. The old domain (kelbian.com) redirects, so there's no need to update bookmarks, it's all the same.

See you there!

And don't forget to check out my latest giveaway,
just in time for the release of Sprung (21 days away!!).

Drum Roll! New Covers and Trailers to share :)

The moment I saw these, I was dying to share them!

As you know, I recently revamped my series and am releasing an updated version of Elemental, which is now entitled Roots plus releasing Sprung, book two of the now titled Witchbound Series.

Roots will be released on March 15th and Sprung on April 1st.

I'm so excited to show you the covers and trailers! Rachel of Parajunkee Design did an AMAZING job!

See for yourself!

Synopsis:

Seventeen-year-old Baltimore Land just wants to be normal, but magic has other plans.

I don’t consider myself a witch, that's my parents' thing. I've never really believed in magic either. Sure, I tried it a few times. Fell for the whole “magic happens” thing. But it didn’t happen to me. No amount of rhyming stopped my parents from moving me halfway across the country. Not one spell stopped me from being labeled the town freak.

And worst of all, no matter how many times I begged the Universe to bring my twin back, I was ignored. Until now.

He’s back all right. And in a magical bind of his own. Not the magic-won’t-work-for-me kind either. In fact, it’s working a little too well. Too dark. Too deep.
It turns out our entire family’s magical roots run just as deep and my brother didn’t end up where he is by accident. So I’m going to help him. But magic isn’t really on my side. Nope. Once I finally get the craft under control, I’m expected to abandon the one person in the world who’s closest to me, just to save myself.

Synopsis:

Since she discovered magic, seventeen-year-old Skye Jackson's life is almost perfect. Almost. Even perfect has its glitches.

What happens when the one with all the power makes the biggest mistakes? Welcome to my life.
Four months ago, I couldn’t have been happier. When my parents got divorced, I wasn’t exactly thrilled. Especially when Mom married a guy half her age. But then I found out I wasn’t the average Joana. Discovering magic existed and, best of all, I could use it, made everything easier to deal with. That is until I got a little too spell happy. But what girl wouldn't defend her best friend against a world-class creep? Now I’m stuck in a nightmare, forced to make life and death decisions I never dreamed I’d face.

Love the magic, hate the responsibility

Reaper's Novice Release!

Today I'm excited to announce the release of a new book by my friend and fellow blog partner (at Diverse Pages), Cecilia M. Robert!

Book description:

17- year- old Ana Maria Tei’s life has always been perfect: loving parents, good grades, and a future
so bright it outshone the sun. But now words like “separation” and “divorce” are sending her world
plummeting to hell. Determined to keep her family intact, Ana plans a family-bonding trip from
Vienna to Tuscany. Except fate has other plans. Ana’s parents and siblings are killed in a car accident
on their way to pick Ana up from school.

Enter Grim, aka Ernest. He promises to relinquish the four souls if Ana agrees to trade her soul for
theirs and serve a lifetime as his novice. In order for Ana to graduate from her Reaper’s Novice
station to a Soul Collector graduate, Grim puts her to test. To her horror, she finds out becoming a
Reaper’s Novice didn’t happen by chance. It was preordained, and she is forced to make a choice:
save her family’s souls or come to terms with who she really is and complete the task set for her.

Chapter Excerpt

The decision is made for us when low murmurs carry through the air from the path on our right. Probably one we should avoid.
“Do you hear that?” I say.
Zig nods, eyes trained on the path the voices came from.
“We should take that one.” I pull him in the other direction.
Holding hands feels so kindergarten. I can’t remember the last time I held hands for more than ten minutes—other than my best friends and boyfriend. Ex-boyfriend. Quickly I shove those thoughts away. This isn’t the time or place.
Zig pauses to take out the pouch containing the dust and marks the trail, then grabs my hand.
This path, which is actually a room of sorts, is not as wide as the hallway we came in, but it’s about thirty feet high, lit by sconces. Shelves are mounted on the wall next to the mirrors. About ten steps into the room, the use of the shelves becomes clear. Vials of different sizes and colours rest on them.
I slip my hand from Zig’s and inch closer, eyes glued on the vials, labelled in a slant, neat handwriting in chronological order of century, year, month, date, and hour. Peering closer, I realise they’re all empty. Something writhes in the mirror. I lean forward, my nose almost touching the shelf in front of me. Mist-like grey, nearly translucent, forms swirl in its confines. Even after Zig told me what Sinteler does with souls, I’m not prepared for the real thing.
“Dear God, Zig, come take a look at this.” I glance over my shoulder to find Zig staring wide-eyed, mouth hanging open at the shelves opposite where I stand. As if the souls can sense us, the wailing becomes louder and they thrash faster.

Triple Day: Happy Place -- All. Day. Long. :)

Today's a special day. Not just because it's only semi-cold and the sun is shining. Or because it's Wednesday (my fave day of the week!). Or because Wednesdays are my days off. It's also a triple day. December 12, 2012 (12/12/12).

I LOVE triple days. Don't know why. I'm not sure anything special actually happens on these days, but they always feel special to me so maybe that's enough :)

I went to bed late last night and did a meditation just before going to sleep. I usually just clear my mind for a few and wait for whatever thought of guidance is hiding away to jump into my head. It was during that time I was reminded about this special day.

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but not only is it 12/12/12, it's also the last triple day of this century (at first I thought it was millenium...lol but no, Kelbian...slow down...hehe). Still, we won't get another until 2101! And heck, I might not even be here. That truly is special! Isn't it?

I didn't make any special plans today, although I might play the lottery just for the fun of it, but I do plan to be in a happy place all day long. What about you?
